Here, one can challenge their limits and traverse trails forged over a century ago by prospectors in search of valuable minerals.

Some trails lead to mountain peaks, where alpine vistas unfold, offering a sense of freedom and exploration in areas seldom visited. During these rides, encounters with wildlife add an element of excitement, with some creatures viewing you as a potential meal.
The Grizzbait expedition promises a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, featuring steep ascents, trails carved by prospectors, remnants of historic mining camps, and vistas that seem to stretch on forever. Grizzbait will test your skills while providing the kind of adventures that many can only dream about or watch on YouTube.

To embark on this extraordinary journey, I started by making my way to Vancouver, then a short connecting flight to northern BC just south of the Alsaka panhandle to Simthers BC. All I needed to bring was my helmet, boots, and riding gear, and everything else was provided. Accommodations, meals, and a bike awaited me. Each day, I felt like a top-level racer, with a dedicated support team maintaining my bike, washing it, and preparing it for the day's adventure.

Trails with names like Ninemile offer a challenging nine-mile hill climb, navigating some of the steepest and rockiest terrain to reach the mountain's summit. Red Rose trail takes you along a prospector's trail to the top of a mountain and an abandoned mining camp, where buildings are strategically strapped and tied down to withstand mountain winds. Riding along a rocky ledge with loose traction, a single mistake could mean tumbling down the cliff edge.
Other trails include single tracks through moss-covered forest floors, providing a unique sensation of riding on a soft pillow. Each day brought a new riding area and fresh adventures, guided by experts who consider this backcountry their backyard. After each exhilarating day, I jumped into the hot tub and felt like a professional rider from a top team. The following morning, my bike was meticulously washed, repaired, and ready for another day of unforgettable exploration.
